Activision's upcoming FPS game will include a BR mode called Blackout but we don't know much about it yet.
This year's Call of Duty release will be Treyarch's Black Ops 4 and it looks like Activision is trying to rejuvenate a struggling, relatively to previous releases, game series that absolutely needs "new stuff".
Together with a new class system, this year's major addition will be a Battle Royal mode called Blackout which Activision briefly introduced during this year E3, although at the expense of the single player campaign that will be missing for the first time in a CoD game. We already talked about "what will be in the new Black Ops 4" after the E3 presentation.
Fast fowarding to today (at the time of writing), Black Ops 4 will enter in a multiplayer beta phase in August 3, only for Playstation 4, then it will be available in Open Beta for all the major platforms from August 10 to 13. For the occasion Activision released a Multiplayer Beta Trailer which not only shows some gameplay from standard multiplayer game modes but also an in game glimpse of the new Blackout mode.
Call of Duty: Black ops 4 will be released on PC, XONE and PS4 in October 12. Down below you can watch the Multiplayer Beta trailer
